WE ARE NOW 2 WEEKS OLD!!!

****
Well it's been 2 weeks and I have managed to keep my babies alive, looks like I'm not a bad kitty mommy after all. It was touch and go there for a few days but babies and I have figured things out and seem to be working through our differences. I'm still getting up at the wee hours during the night these little ones need feeding every 3 hours. I keep trying to tell them Mommy needs her sleep but they don't quite get what I'm babbling on about. With a week immune system it was only a matter of time before the neighbourhood cooties got wind of my fragile state and showed up at my door with their bag of goodies. So not only am I tired but very sick, oh what fun!!!!
Any who I took the kitties to the vet and found out they are both little boys, I'm a little disappointed with this news. I was hoping one would be a girl. I'm not sure if I want two boy cats around I have a girl already and in the past I have had trouble with spraying when there are two boys in the same house even though they will be neutered this is no guarantee that they won't take up that dirty habit. What to do what to do.........
The vet was very pleased with how much weight these two have gained when I first found them they where apx 3.4 oz they are now up over 7 oz mark. It's hard to get an accurate weight because they won't sit still long enough for the scale to get a proper reading, wiggly worms that they are.
This is Spanky, I know he doesn't look like it but he is part piglet this little guy loves his food. Has a wonderful set of lungs on him too which he likes to exercise in the wee hours of the night.
Spanky came in second as far as the eye opening game, his little brother Stumpy won by 3 days.
Spanky before his laser eye surgery, and no I'm not strangling the wee thing that would just be cruel.
Hey What do you mean my tail fell off!!!! Yup you heard right poor little fella had a bum tail and the thing just fell off. Okay not the whole tail but a good chunk of it so hence the name Stumpy. The vet wasn't sure why or how the tail got damaged but seemed like there was no blood to the end and it just dried up and said I'm outa here, kinda gross if you ask me....

Stumpy and friends, nope Stumps you aren't going to find your mommy there.

WWW Smack Down Spanky Vs Stumpy.

Well there they are my two boys growing up so fast next thing you know they will be chowing down on big kitty food and the late night feedings will be a thing of the past. Oh that sounds so good right now....... SLEEP!!!
Until Next time Take care Hugs Deborah

Oh, what sweet little kitties! Life may be starting out rough for them, but they are so lucky to have such a good kitty mama like you!

Hi Deborah,
They are so adorable! I've been watching your blog every day, for updates. I'm so glad the kittens are doing well, even if you're not :( As for the two boys, just get them neutered as early as the vet will do it, and it usually takes care of the problem. I've had male and female cats together for years. Take care of your self!

Oh Deb, they are so sweet and sooooo lucky to have you as their mommy :) You are a true sweetheart :) xoxoxox

Hope they let you feed them every 4 hours soon. Every extra hour of sleep helps. Sweet dreams

Hugs, Karen xoxoxo

I can't believe it's already been two weeks either - I meant to comment on the first post 'soon' lol.
Just to brighten your day - I've got 2 males , but had four - and none of them sprayed. There's hope! My gf has had many issues and says it's the one bad apple that ruins the bunch - if one does it they think they all can!

Boy how time flies, well, unless you are having to feed yowling babies all night and not getting any rest + sick to boot !
Be well, get rest......

Awe *hug*. You must be the best kitty mommy. They are so sweet. I've never had a spraying issue with my boys.. but cats can be strange.
Hugs,
Melanie
