BATHROOM RENO FINSIHED ~ KINDA /SORTA

******
3 weeks and 2 days and I finally get to take a shower.........oh ya!!!! Rob the Reno guy has packed up his tools and called it a day, moved on to the next job.
Now it's hubbies turn to take over and finish up the last few details of our bathroom reno. Hubby is and expert in exterior renovations he has been running his own Roofing/siding and window company for the past 20 years, good thing because this bath room needs a new window, fogged window is on order. Rob the reno guy was very kind and made up extra trim to match the floor trim ( he created the molding out of barn wood to go with the vanity) so when the window is in we will have trim to match. My towel bar has been on back order for months but I got the call this morning that it has arrived Yahoo!!! all I have to do is pick it up. Still need to stain the wooden vent covers to match the trim oh and do some touch up painting, oh ya and this is the fun part seek out and acquire antique accessories to pull the room together FUN!FUN!FUN!!!
It was quite amusing watching Rob and Carl (Reno guys) try and figure out how they where going to maneuver this 300lb + cast iron tub through the door. Good thing I live in a bungalow otherwise this puppy might still be on my front lawn.

Tub tap isn't she pretty......

Tub feet in antique bronze feet in this colour are a real pain to find!!!! but my reno guy pulled it off.

Yeah my new shower!!! Doesn't look like much but this blasted thing took poor Rob days to complete. With the 2"x 2" tile border (middle and top) Rob had to find just the right tiles to use, with natural stone the colours vary so much. So to get the checker board effect he had to pick and choose each tile before he placed it.

My Toe tester tap in the shower how cool is that.

We had the vanity custom made over 2 years ago, been sitting in our bedroom collecting dust waiting for this day to come. The piece was modeled after an old work bench and we had the artist use reclaimed barn wood to give it that well worn feel, I think they did a bang up job.

Rob the Reno guy was a very talented young man not only did he do all the tile work but he made the mirror and all the base boards and trim for us. I had him beat the heck out of everything to give everything that well lived in feel. He had never been asked to do such a thing but once he got started banging on things he thought it was great fun.

Sink tap, Fell in love with this as soon as I saw it.

I just love my copper vessel sink too it is way cool.......

This is my toilet paper holder fancy stuff huh... my towel rack is the same but just bigger.
Well there you have it my new and improved bathroom sure beats the pink carpeted grey walled mess that it used to be. No I'm not responsible for the pink carpet the previous owners can take all the credit for that disaster.
Well I think I might go take a bath see how much water I can put in that tub without going through the floor.
Until next time Hugs Deborah
