A while back I showed off my unfinished bear Mango who was created for a fund raising project (Children's Aid Foundation). I took the big fella as far as I could, my sewing skills are limited and bears are about all I can handle, when it comes to the costumes forget it my creativity runs dry. So I was thrilled when Dianne Blencoe a wonderfully talented Bear Artist volunteered to dress Mango for me. I made Mango and his hat and Dianne did the rest, I'm thrilled with what she came up with he looks very smashing. All the Bears made for the CAF auction were photographed by David Hawe and a calendar was created with all the wonderful photo's this is Mango in all his finery he was chosen to represent the month of April. I'm honoured that I was asked to help out with this worthy cause, and can't wait to see what next years theme will be.
***********************************************************************************Well on with the kitties it has been 7 weeks since I found these little buggers I can't believe how fast the time has flown by. I have kept Spanky and Stumpy in isolation snuggled safely in my studio away from all the hustle and bustle of the big kids and their rambunctious shanigins. however as much as I would like to keep them to myself I realize it's time I let them venture out of the safety zone and into the mean streets we call home.
With bathroom renovations underway the dogs have been sent to their rooms and with them tucked away it seemed like the perfect time to let the wee ones out. The pups mean no harm however they are big and clumsy and sometimes forget their manners and when your 7 week old kitties big drooling boxers can be kinda frightening. So Stumpy and Spanky have not had to many play dates with the hounds and by the reaction I witnessed on the few short encounters they did have it will be quite interesting when everyone is free to mingle.
I was so worried fretting about keeping the dogs from eating the kittens I forgot all about Binx Queen of the Universe, She is the one I should have been focusing my attention on.
Binx is Not a happy camper..........She is not amused to find out she will be sharing her humble abode with 2 fellow felines not happy at all.

Binx has a plan I'll just hiss and give them the evil eye that ought to do the trick, scare the dickens out of the ugly fur balls until they pack their bags and move out...... She likes to sit outside their room watching and waiting, hissing when ever they look in her general direction she is pissed and wants everyone to know it. I'm hoping in time everyone will get along I'm sure though Binx will hold out as long as she can and won't play nice until she is good and ready.

I hate you !!!!I hate you!!! I'm not happy and it's all your fault........

You love me Binx you know you do.......

Spanky moving in for the kill, Hey mom Stumpy won't let me play on the poppy things

Oh Deb, they are soooooooo cute - Binx does not look happy LOL! It may take a while - female cats can be really nasty. I'm sure the dogs will be better with them than Binx!
Congratulations on your bear - it is FABULOUS! Can't wait to see the calendar.
hugs,
Brenda
Oh, poor Binxy isn't the center of attention anymore! Well, he's still a pretty cat. Those little kittens are adorable and when I saw that there was a new post from you in my google reader I was hoping there'd be more sweet little kitty pictures and you did not disappoint! YAY, Kitties!!! :)
Oh my gosh they are adorable! I am truly enjoying your updates on these two little guys! God bless you for saving them!

They are such sweet little guys. I'm glad to hear you are keeping the little buggers.. I don't think I could let them go either. :)

Oh my goodness, those kitties are SO sweet! Lovely photographs! Hope Binx comes around soon :)
Congratulations on your publication. How fun to be April!
I think Binx is in for a rough ride, poor thing. How can a mature cat compete with those two.
Love the updates :)

these 2 are absolutely gorgeous, I love checking in to see how they are doing.
=^..^= Too cute!
This post made me laugh out loud ...
Reminds me of my Christmas 2007
Ah yes I remember it well ... 'twas the season of the monkey's. Henry and his little sister, Truly came to stay ::sigh:: Many of the senior residents of the cottage did not believe Santa got their requests ... Remove those offending creatures! Now!
Me, I just asked Santa for a maid. One that likes cats & can catch toppling trees in mid-air ... please?
Things changed. The monkeys got bigger. So did their ability to get into more mischief. I'm just sayin' ... watch out ::hee::
Kiss the little buggers for me, will ya?
How wonderful of you to make them family.
=^.*.^= love, zU
