New Altered Tins and Spanky too

It has been a busy week and like always I never seem to find enough spare time floating around for uninterrupted creativity. Though I did manage to squeak a few hours in between kitty/horse/doggie/human feedings to get 2 altered tins done.

My bathroom renovations are heading into the 3 week period and this was suppose to be a 2 week job. Though things are dragging on I'm very pleased with how everything is coming together, I think my bathroom is going to be spectacular when it's all said and done. I've been meaning to take pictures but you know how things go when your a procrastinator I'll do it later...........

And of course what would a post be without a few kitty shots, I'm not sure how I did it but I managed to get some good shots of Spanky. This little bugger is one hard kitty to photograph, won't sit still for a second. Stumpy was sleeping and I didn't want to get him going so today you only get Spanky McPuddles. 6 weeks old and all potty trained so far no more spills outside the litter box, keeping my fingers crossed I just didn't jinx the whole thing.

I know Spanky looks all cute and kitty like trust me it's all an act this fella is really the tasmanian devil,destructive critters kittens are I'm not sure if my furniture will survive their rambunctious nature.

Well better scat my stove timer is telling me my peanut butter cookies are done and nothing beats fresh warm cookies from the oven.

KITTENS GROWING LIKE BAD WEEDS!!!

I hope everyone isn't getting tired of seeing my boys it's just that they are sooooo darn cute I can't resist. These guys are growing faster than a pesky weed, so many changes happening in such a short span of time it's almost scary. I guess this warp speed growing up is necessary for survival.

My daughter decided she needed a break from collage life and graced us with her company this weekend. She hasn't seen Spanky and Stumpy since we found them when they where one day old. She was blown away by just how much they have morphed into real kitties, I guess when you are in the thick of things you don't see the changes as clearly as someone who isn't around daily.

Most of these pictures where taken by Kora she was rather captivated by the boys and lavished tons of attention on them, I'm sure they where sad to see her go....... I know I was.

It's tiring being a big boy kitty with all the playing and cuddling going on, Stumpy crashes without a care in the world.

HA! HA! HA! Oh stop me I'm just way to funny ...........

Okay enough with the jokes it's cuddle time.............

Where's my blankie you know I can't fall asleep without my fuzzy blankie.

The boys play hard and crash even harder, when it's sleepy time it's sleepy time......and no one better get in the way of their napping.

I'm pleased to report that I too have been getting my much needed sleep, yup the boys have given me permission to take back my nights, no more interrupted sleep for me YIPPEE!!!!!

Things on the food front are looking up too Both Spanky and Stumpy are now enjoying big boy food, Stumpy likes the real kitty food that comes in a can while Spanky hasn't quite let go of his kitten milk mush. It's all good though because they are eating their food of choice all by themselves. Well every now and then Stumpy has a hankering for his bottle but I'm not suppose to mention that, so you didn't hear that from me.

Litter box training is a work in progress Stumpy has graduated with flying colours loves to be a big boy and we are very proud of his accomplishments. Mean while it's a hit and miss kinda thing with Spanky some times he makes it while other times nope not even close.......... and it's my sock that seems to find his hits and misses.

It looks like both boys are going to be staying put, despite all my hubbies whining -you said you would find homes for them, you promised.......Which of course my response was, what you actually believed me....... you should know better than that!!!!! SILLY MAN.....what was he thinking.

So my critter count is now up 2 notches.

Thanks so much for hanging in and putting up with all my kitty babble. I'm working on some new altered art tins and pendants so I should have some other stuff besides furry critters to show off in the near future.

WE ARE BIG BOY KITTIES NOW!!!!!

Well my baby boys have crossed the threshold and have now stepped into the big boy kitty world, each in their own way after all they are now 4 weeks + 2 days old it was only a matter of time. Wee Stumpy has found a new and exciting use for the sand box that takes up space in the kitty corner, Yippee!!! he figured it makes a great potty too......... way to go little man your on your way to becoming a big boy. Now if we could only get him off the milk and on to the mushy stuff.

Did I hear some one say MILK........

Now Spanky McPuddles is so way over the milk thing and has moved on to step two kitty mash....MMMMMM good stuff!!! Yes indeedy this wee guy is eating all by himself, of course he hasn't quite got the whole table manners thing down and thinks nothing of sitting in the middle of his dinner plate while chowing down. I thought the wet pee bum was a pain to clean but try getting kitty food out of fluffy fur now that's fun!!!! Even though Spanky enjoys his big boy food after a cuddle he still feels the need for a wee hit of warm milk, helps him head off to dream land.


Hey mom look at me I'm a big boy now, nope Spanky you have the potty thing to master, Still needs mom's help in that department.

NEW ALTERED TIN "FAIRY CHILDREN AND THEIR DOGGIES"

With kitty feedings, horsey emergencies, day to day running around, crappy computer and now my bathroom renovations (YIPPEE my new bathroom is finally starting to take shape) not much creating has gone on in the Land Of Nod Studio's. This tiny altered tin has taken me weeks to complete, a minute here a second there and finally we have something to show.


I just put this puppy up in my Etsy shop Land Of Nod Studio's would love to have you drop by for a visit.

I gave each fairy child their own doggie casue every kid needs a pupster, life just wouldn't be fun with out a furry friend.

I love this poem by Kathleen Foyle and added it to the bottom of the tin.

3 WEEKS AND THEN SOME!!!!

Oh my time sure does fly by when your not paying attention, I can't believe these two are now 3 weeks and 2 days old. Trust me the 2 days count when your this small, lots of growing up can happen in that span of time. The boys are starting to play it is so funny to watch because they are still very shaky and often fall over before they get a chance to pounce. They are also starting to try and clean themselves but they tire very quickly and only get in a few licks, Its tough when you can't quite hang on to your paw long enough to get to the dirty spots.

Stumpy is on the move again, though he is the smaller of the two he out braves his big brother Spanky by a mile he loves to explore. Meanwhile Spanky likes nothing better to do than hang out and complain to mom about how Stumpy has left him alone again!!!

Spanky is the more verbal of the two and seems to always have something to fuss about, here he is having a quite moment.....Finally.

Stumpy is very content to just sit and contimplate life, this little one is a thinker. I smell trouble on the horizon!!!!

What it wasn't me Spanky did it I saw him with my own eyes........

Spanky seems to be having some bladder control issues, okay it's really me having an issue with his bladder control. He has none, little brother Stumpy can hold things in place between feedings but this little guy, Nope just goes when ever and where ever he pleases. Every time I take him out to feed him he is soaked sometimes from head to toe. Not sure how he manages that one but the little gaffer is one wet kitty, and he is not impressed with my sad attempt at making him presentable again, I haven't got the licking thing down yet.........

I want to change his name but hubby says you can't do that you already named him you can't go about changing something important as a name. I'm not officially going to change his name I'm just adding on to the one he has. So from this day forward he will be known as

Stumpy McPuddles.

AAAAAAAH what a face!!! Not sure if I'll be able to part with this little one when it's all said and done.

Oh I hear squawking must be feeding time, I'm coming Spanky McPuddles, now ssshhhhh before you wake your brother.
