OKAY YA GOT ME TAG I'M IT!!!!!!!!

*****

I was never good at playing tag, I'm a slow poke and always managed to get caught right off the bat, looks like my running skills haven't improved. I've been tagged by several bloggers and have also been handed a few awards must have been while I was sleeping. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to respond I really appreciate everyone thinking of me and feeling my blog is worthy of such attention. It has been a very lousy, stressful week for me and I haven't had much energy to play along but I enjoyed reading everyones random things and thought why not.

First off I would like to say Thank you to Ginger over at
Bear Bits
Ellen from
ElliFolks and Black Feather Farm For tagging me, I loved reading the six random things about all of you, yup I can do that, Not so fast sounds easier than it is........... hmmmm what to write what to write

Six Random things about myself I'm willing to share.

1. I'm a Neat freak everything has it's place or so I'll have you beleiving and upon walking into my house I might actually have you fooled. That is until you open my closets, drawers or any other area closed off from plain view. Yup that's when the real me is revealed. I'm a mess a true clutter bug!!! A big disorganized slob and that's the way I likes it, had you fooled didn't I.

2. I still need to recite the ABC's in my head when trying to look up a word in the dictionary or looking for anything that is in alphabetic order. Now does L come before or after F............ Oh and I am a terrible speller you would think by now with all my dictionary usage I would have figured things out.

3. In the six years I have owned my horses I have broken my finger, foot and back all due to being tossed, dragged, and head butted by Clancy my ever so obedient pony. My vet can't believe that I have hung on to the nasty old coot he keeps telling me he has the perfect solution for that bad attitude, A bullet..........Come on now Doc you love my horse just as much as I do.

4. I'm fascinated with grave yards, love the old spooky ones the best. I could spend all day hanging about reading old tomb stones. When I was young and lived in Germany coming home from school I would stay on the bus a few extra stops just so I would get off by a very cool grave yard. It had a very high wall and huge trees that lined both sides of the path way. The noisy outside world would just fade away as soon as you walked through the big wrought iron gates you would be engulfed by silence. Even as a kid I appreciated the tranquility and calmness of the place. To me Grave yards are peace.......

5. I haven't eaten meat, fish or chicken actually anything that once had a mother for about 6 years don't miss it at all actually the smell and sight of meat makes me gag. However I dream about eating it not in the I miss it kind of way but that some naughty person has snuck it in my tofu kind of way and now I'm no longer a vegetarian. I wake up in a panic and have a hard time looking at all my four leggers in the morning, honest I didn't know I was eating it I was tricked.

6. I have a computer phobia, I'm not a shy person in real life but on the computer I feel really timid. I don't join many groups and if I do I rarely jump into any conversations. It takes me hours to write the simplest comments. Could explain the long breaks between my posts, I'm surprised I manage to get through this.

Well there you have it 6 useless tidbits about moi, now ya all know just how odd I am.

I would also like to thank Vicki over at
Baggaley Bears and Sharie from Sreetzbears for passing on the Proximidade award. I'm honoured that my blog was choosen and you both feel my space incompuses all the things this award stands for. I tried to upload the award but can't seem to figure how to go about it, sorry guys for my lack of computer skills. Yahoo!!! Thanks Sharie your how to info was bang on easy as pie and look I now have the award up.

The authors say that blogs who recieve this award are exeedingly charming. This blog invests a proximity in space, time and relationships. These kind of bloggers aim to find and be friends, they are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandisement.Our hope is that when the awards of these ribbons are cut, even more friendships will be propagated. Please give your attention to these writers!Deliver this award to 8 bloggers who will choose 8 more, and include this cleverly written text into the body of this award.

I know I'm suppose to pass along this award and tag other bloggers seems though I'm too slow because many of you have beaten me to the punch and many of my favorite blogs have been hit. I'm kinda computer shy and the idea of reaching out to other bloggers makes my heart race into panic mode, so this is a toughy for me but I'm going to stretch myself and see what I can come up with. First off I have to figure out how to get that award on my blog.

Thank you all for your kindness it means the world to me. Oh I wanted to squeze this in while I got your attention I'm trying to get some goodies ready so I can join up with the One World-One Heart blog giveaway, as soon as I have my peices done I will have them listed so if your interested in some free Land Of Nod goodies please stop by in the next few days I should have all the how's and where's up and running.

Until Then Hugs Deb

NEW ALTERED TAGS

*****
I have just spent a very frustrating 2 hours (actually I'm still not quite finished) getting 2 new hang tag sets listed in my Etsy shop!!!!I have never encountered a site more slower, is it just me or is Etsy like this for everyone? GGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Okay I'm done pulling my hair out and throwing my temper tantrum all this fuss for these wee tags.......Not sure if it is worth it.
Another Child fairy set these two are the younger siblings of my other fairy set.

Hand made envelopes that hold the wee fairies.

Spanky watching me throw my super sized tantrum, hmmmmm amsusing indeed!!!!

These tags are smaller (2 1/4 x 1 3/8 inches ) and sealed with bee's wax.

The hand made envelopes are apx 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches these ones go with the waxed set.

Another small tag set called Family portraits

And the envelopes that go with the Family Portrait set.

I can't believe this I have edited, posted and did my write up here all the while I'm still struggling to get one bloody picture to upload to my Etsy shop!!!!! I have gone well over the 2 hour mark for 2 stink-en listings, YIKES and I thought ebay sucked............
Sorry about the hostile language but I'm way tired and just a wee bit PO
I'm loosing it..........again.
Until next time Hugs Deborah

My Teddy Trade

****

I've been tinkering again and this is what I have been working on, altered art hang tags. This is my very first set and of course I used my most favorite fairy kiddies. I seem to use these guys in a lot of my work, its just that they are so darn sweet. Each tag comes with its own individual hand made altered envelope. I've have more sets in the works but so far this is the only set I have in my
shop Land Of Nod Studio's.

Hand made envelopes, I used antique music sheets and original antique photos.

MY TEDDY TRADE!!!!

A while back, okay more like a year ago I struck up the courage to ask one of my favorite teddy artists Kim Endlich of

Friends "Fur" Life Bears

if she would be willing to do a bear trade, I'm not sure what possessed me to think that she would actually want one of my creations but what was the harm in asking..... turns out she liked my bears too and thought it was a great idea, who would have thunk!!!!!

So arrangements where made and the trade got underway. Little did we know bears where not the only thing we had in common, procrastination and dilly dalling seemed to run in both our genes. This explains the year long birthing of our trade critters .

Just before Christmas Kim's amazing, wonderful, creative gal Bessy the elephantagle landed on my door steps.

Bessy didn't travel alone she brought a perfect little dolly with her, isn't she to die for.

Kim's work is out of this world, the quality is top notch you can just tell she loves what she is doing. Maybe that is why I fell in love with her bears many years ago when I spotted them on eBay they have that I'm special kinda look. I don't own many artist bears but I knew I had to add one of Kim's to my very tiny hug, I'm so thrilled with my Bessy.

Wow what a face I smile every time a look at her, what a delightful gal.

Dolly is so unique I just love them to bits, Thank you Kim for agreeing to this trade. If you love bears and are looking for a new critter to add to your hug or if you just want to see amazing work head on over to

Friends "Fur" Life Bears

Kim's web site you won't be disappointed.

This is Barnabas the bear I created for Kim, I'm embarrassed by my end of the trade. I felt Kim would think she got the raw end of deal with this fella after all he is kinda wee and plain. I felt so guilty that I made a charm for her too, but was so anxious to get everything in the mail I forgot to take pictures. Well Kim is not only one talented lady but a real sweet heart to boot she said Barnabas was a cutie and that she loved him........Yahoo!!!I don't suck after all.

I think I came out the winner with this trade even Stumpy and Spanky got in on the action. Who knew that a box and tissue paper would keep these two going for days and days. See Kim your gift just keeps on giving. I finally had to take away the box I got tired of cleaning bits and pieces of paper of my floor. Besides by the time the box got confiscated there wasn't much left of the tissue paper but crumbs.

Spanky watching Stumpy destroy Kim's beautiful wrap from high above.

Yesterday was the first full day and night that the boys had free run of the house looks like things are starting to settle down. No hissing and no snacking from the dogs just one big happy four legged family.

Until Next time
