I have just spent the past few days cleaning out my crawl space of a basement. Turns out our sub pump was not working and we had a flood, the whole basement was under about 4 inches of water. Most of the stuff I store down in the pit as wee like to call it, is in plastic bins or on wood pallets. I did loose a lot of items but not as much as I thought would. The one good thing that came out of this experience is it forced us to clean up and get rid of junk that should have been tossed years ago.
While sorting through the boxes I found some really cool stuff I had forgotten I had. Some of this treasure has been stashed away for about 20 years. I found a few old cigar boxes in rough shape, if I remember correctly they where like this when I bought them, they were up high so no water damage.
I rather like them all beat up, I'm into the grungy distressed look so this box is perfect as it sits. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the boxes but I scanned every side of them so I can play with the grungy graphics. This box is from the early 1900's not so politically correct I'm afraid.
Well hope you can see the beauty through the dirt and grime.
Until next time take care and have a wonderful day Hugs Deborah
